Essential Settings after installing WordPress

1. Change the permalink

The first thing is permalink. This is most important setting to make your blog search engine friendly. The default permalink by WordPress is not search engine friendly so I recommend you to change permalink structure after installing WordPress. In the below image, you can see I use “custom structure” “/%postname%” instead of Default “https://www.netzole.com/?p=123“. you can use “Post name” structure.

It is very important for security reasons such as save blog from Bruteforce attack. If you did not change admin you can change now. Create a new user and give him the admin right. After create new user Login with new id and delete default admin account.
